Keystone of the Landing, the artificial harbour of Arromanches, also known as «Mulberry B», is a great invention dreamt up by the British in order to transport all the material the armies would need after the Landing to Normandy. Jimmy, civil engineer specialised in port engineering, went through it all: from its conception in England, until its optimal use, without forgetting the big storm that partially destroyed it. He was there... He describes everything in a book written shortly after the war. He talks about the soldiers' and men of genius' obstinacy, but also about the fishermen of Port-en-Bessin who helped out with the rebuilding of the artificial harbour when all seemed lost. Today, 42 years later, this book brings us to the museum of Arromanches where Linda, a British teenager, opens Jimmy's book and becomes aware of the important role of this operation in the whole Landing story, and discovers how her family history is linked to this big story...

Auteur prolifique, Robert Crumb est une figure de la culture underground américaine, et probablement l'un des plus grands dessinateurs de ces cinquante dernières années. Son oeuvre a profondément marqué le monde de la BD américaine et française, et tous s'accordent à voir en Crumb celui a changé le dessin par son trait, d'une énergie et d'une densité sans égales. Il est le premier Américain à avoir reçu le Grand prix d'Angoulême en 1999, et le seul à avoir bénéficié d'expositions dans les musées du monde entier, à San Francisco, Cologne et Vienne.
Né à Philadelphie en 1943, il commence très tôt à dessiner avec ses deux frères des albums de bandes dessinées inspirés de comics animaliers.
Lors du "Summer of Love" de San Francisco en 1967, il invente toute une série de personnages devenus cultes : Fritz the Cat, Mister Natural, Snoid. Ses sujets favoris sont les mythes américains tels que la famille, le sexe, la vie urbaine, les hippies, l'argent, etc. Mais son sujet de prédilection reste sa vie. En effet, dès les années 70 il entreprend une production plus autobiographique dans laquelle il raconte sans pudeur ses obsessions, ses angoisses, ses relations avec les femmes, ou encore sa passion pour le jazz des années 20.
Le catalogue retrace le parcours graphique de Crumb depuis ses premiers dessins dans les revues Help !, Zap et Weirdo, jusqu'aux planches de son dernier album La Genèse, une adaptation littérale du premier livre de la Bible, en passant par ses carnets de dessins jamais publiés.
